Cruise and Pattinson keep it Real in Slick Shades

Knight and Day Shades

Tom Cruise has a new action flick out. Knight and Day, which also stars Cameron Diaz sees the leading man jettin’ across the world, shootin’ bad guys and dodging bullets – half the time while scootin’ around on a Ducati Hypermotard.

Cruise plays an inconspicuous spy whose casual garb helps him keep a low profile.  The guy doesn’t forget to stay sharp though.  His basic ball cap, t-shirt and jeans get up is accentuated by some sharp shades.  The Persol 2931 sunglasses he sports are timeless and instantly up his image.  A little gravitas goes long way.

R. Pattinson has been keepin’ it real despite his growing fame all thanks to the Twilight flicks.  His grunge-casual style falls somewhere between apathetic hipster and trend setter but he doesn’t seem to care either way.

Pattinson sportin' his Clubmasters

One thing seems pretty sure though.  The guy likes to keep it simple.  The basic hoodie and jeans combo he can often be seen in gets some help from his eye wear of choice – Ray Ban Clubmasters.  While Hollywood hipsters might have been on top of these shades for a while, they work for him so he keeps ‘em going strong.  Either way they’re still better than Wayfarers which, while classic, have been a little played out for a while now.

These two heavy hitters are at the edge of the trend curve and it would seem classic, sophisticated, and high end is in – even if you’re trying not to try.
