Ashley Greene Workout
If you’re a big Twilight fan then you know who Ashley Greene is. (she plays Alice Cullen in the films) If you’re not a Twilight tweaker then refer to the picture to the right. Regardless of how you feel about the Twilight craze, it’s pretty reasonable to draw two conclusions when you see this woman:
1. Most men probably think she’s attractive
2. Most ladies wouldn’t mind looking like her (if they don’t already)
Not too far off base, right?
One of the big questions surrounding the Twilight cast during the mania that followed the release of the film’s latest installment had to do with fitness. Namely, what did the guys and gals (werewolves and vampires) do to get in shape? Sure, some of them were already in decent shape (thin) but they needed to get more athletic and more active for their parts in Eclipse, which was much more action filled than the first film. Taylor Lautner added thirty pounds of muscle for his role as a hulking werewolf and Robert Pattinson (perhaps known better as “Edward”) showed he had been working out as well. Kristen Stewart followed a special diet and the worked out with the rest of female cast. Especially Ashley Greene.
So if you’re an obsessive Twilight devotee or just an astonished onlooker here’s the skinny on the Ashley Greene’s workout:
because after all, we may not want to be vampires, but looking like you could be cast for one of the roles…not such a bad thing
So what did she do?
In an interview with RadarOnline Ashley told reporters that with the help of a personal trainer, she’s been doing yoga, kayaking, and tons of cardio.
Apparently it was all about being consistent and having a great trainer.
She told the website that she normally does Pilates but her trainer helped her mix it up by doing stuff she wasn’t used to doing. The key was that it was still things she enjoyed. She hadn’t done much kayaking before but since her trainer recommended it – and she enjoyed it – they did a lot.
Similarly, Ashley’s co-star Taylor Lautner also stepped up his game by adding thirty pounds of muscle to play the beastly shape-shifting werewolf Jacob Black in the Twilight sequels. Check out his workouts here.
The extreme popularity of the Twilight franchise is gonna keep it’s young cast busy through 2010. Breaking Dawn, the fourth and final installment of the Twilight series will be released this fall.
