Wanna instantly toughen up your look? Grab a pair of All Saints Damisi Boots.  These durable, military inspired boots have a work-boot feel that almost makes them even more sexy than they would be if they more ordinary.  The Damisis’ washed grain leather is burnished by hand for a gritty two-tone effect.  Add a simple lace up front with buckled ankle cuff and contrasting topstich and this boot is hard to beat.  Take a cue from Katy Perry and liven up your look.

The chunky body glitter of the ‘90s is over, and we’re not sorry to see it go. Strippers could pull off the large globs of sparkle on their faces and other places, but any time the rest of us tried to apply some, we ended up looking like…strippers. Still, some of us gals can’t deny our need to shimmer.

A favorite of mine for years, Urban Decay’s Flavored Body Powder offers a more subtle alternative. The powder, which comes with a rad animal-printed puff for application, offers a sheen that’s sweet smelling and subtle. Urban Decay, known for their clever packaging and cool colors since 1996, offers three scents: Marshmallow, Honey, and Cocoa. In addition to the contour-enhancing shimmer and irresistible scent, the Body Powder tastes like its namesake.

Apply the powder liberally where you want to shine and/or where you want to be tasted. Try it on your shoulders, your cheekbones, and your décolletage to compliment your summer glow. Your boyfriend will thank you for the added sweetness.

While we aren’t fans of Ed Hardy, Affliction or any other “monster” shirts that have been dragging their feet ever so slowly towards style’s emergency exit doors, there are still some edgy, fashion forward designs out there that aren’t so bad.  Take ADX for instance.  We haven’t seen them plaster giant flaming dragons on t-shirts yet so we forgave them for slapping some knarly graphics on their Dragon Fight Shorts.  Since board shorts tend to be a pretty good look on most guys – and since they also tend to be pretty graphic-oriented – we can’t blame ‘em for trying to liven things up a bit.  But aesthetics take the backseat when you consider the pure utility of these shorts.  They’re the first board shorts that also double as fighting or workout shorts.  Not bad, right?  ADX calls them a “hybrid surf/fight short” and touts their patented 4-way Dri-flex body with super-flex panels for maximum flexibility.  Also good? The waist is lined with extra suede and an all-hook and loop fastener for comfort while grappling.  Apparently then they’re great for when you’re not sure whether you want to bum it on the beach or go bite somebody’s ear off.  Grab ‘em here.

Despite what you may think, Aviator sunglasses weren’t created in 2005 by college kids drunk in their dorm rooms.  Even though the style was a little played out (every 20 something you know went through a phase with them a few years back) they’ll never really go out of style.  In fact, what really pushed the trend over the edge and made these types of shades a moot point was all of the other brands trying to copy Ray-Ban’s designs when they realized how hot they were.  Here’s the real deal: Aviator sunglasses (or “pilot shades”) were actually originally developed by Ray-Ban. As you’ve probably noticed the company (and everyone else) has come out with countless iterations of shades sporting dark, sometimes reflective lenses and cool wire metal frames that hook smoothly behind the ears.  The latest models are now polarized and sharp as ever.  If looking at the pic of these Ray-Ban 3025 Aviators makes you nostalgic, then maybe it’s a sign.  As long as you pair them with something other than sweatpants you won’t be to far out in fashion left field. After all, every celebrity on the planet has probably been caught in a pair of these. We’re thinking that’s can’t be a bad sign. One more thing about aviators: they’re almost all unisex ( and sharing is sexy)  Grab ‘em here.

Call it what you will – London chic, downtown cool – this bag is both of those things and more.  With it’s look something of a hybrid between Mulberry’s Bayswater and their men’s briefcase, it’s definitely unique without being over the top.  Both formal and casual, structured and relaxed versatility is second-to-none. With a name that comes from British style icon Alexa Chung, it would be hard to find a better all ’round summer bag.  If it’s good enough for Leighton Meester and Katie Holmes it’s good enough for us. Grab it here.
